Jon is a physical therapist whose ambition is to help individuals reclaim their ability to do the small or large things that drive their lives; whether it be standing up from a chair, lifting children/grandchildren, or performing things like deadlifting or olympic lifts again. He believes that helping people stay active and moving is a key component to living a happy life.
Jon obtained his bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from North Dakota State University, working in Construction Management before attending the University of Minnesota to obtain his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He has obtained certifications in dry needling and the clinical management of the fitness athlete. Jon obtained his clinical management of the fitness athlete certification after coaching in multiple CrossFit gyms as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer; the certification is directed towards helping CrossFit and other recreational or competitive athletes stay active in doing what they love.
In his free time, Jon likes to go for hikes with his wife and dog, read books, and occasionally play his bass guitar as well. One of our favorite places to hike is along the North Shore along Lake Superior while we spend most of our time at the local hiking trails around the Northwest part of the cities. He also enjoys participating in local CrossFit competitions and will go for runs when outside of the gym.
