Dr. Kate McDermott

PT, DPT

Kate McDermott is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and APTA Certified Clinical Instructor. She is currently completing an orthopedic residency program with the goal to earn her orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) certification in 2023.

Kate graduated from Simmons University in Boston, MA in 2013 and spent the first part of her career at Neuroworx, an outpatient non-profit clinic specializing in neurological rehabilitation. She has been involved with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation’s NeuroRecovery Network and has presented at the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals conference.
Kate is a certified International Para Alpine Ski & Snowboard Classifier and is a member of the coaching staff at the Figure Skating Club of Park City. She has been a certified GYROTONIC trainer for over 12 years, she enjoys teaching mindful movement and injury prevention.

Kate is a former nationally ranked ice dancer, long distance runner and multiple time Boston Marathon qualifier. She has experience with downhill ski racing. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys backcountry skiing and mountain biking. She’s here to keep you in Motion!
