Motion Physical Therapy Adds Two Physical Therapists to the Team

Motion, an expert physical therapy practice based out of St. Paul, MN, is thrilled to announce the addition of two physical therapists to their growing team, Dr. Michelle Steege, PT, DPT and Dr. Alyssa George, PT, DPT, OCS.

Dr. Michelle Steege began her orthopedic residency with Motion in 2017. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in Exercise Science. She then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Her experience in a hospital-based outpatient orthopedic setting has given her the opportunity to treat a variety of orthopedic conditions and sports injuries.

“I am elated to join the team at Motion and am sincerely passionate about the profession of physical therapy,” said Dr. Michelle Steege, PT, DPT.

Dr. Alyssa George brings over nine years of experience as a physical therapist and specializes in treating pelvic and orthopedic conditions. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Gustavus Adolphus College, a Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and continued her education at the University of Montana, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics and earned her certification in Pelvic Physical Therapy from the American Physical Therapy Association Section on Women’s Health.

“I am honored to join Motion and their team of experts who value education, research, and collaborative care in a fun, patient-centered environment,” said Dr. Alyssa George, PT, DPT, OCS.

Alyssa has been a lecturer and faculty mentor of both orthopedic residency and manual therapy fellowship programs at The Ohio State University. She has been certified in dry needling and utilizes other various manual therapy techniques in her management of abdominopelvic disorders (including incontinence, constipation, lumbopelvic pain, and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal disorders) and orthopedic conditions of the neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, and foot/ankle.
