Austin Ferguson

PT, DPT, Resident Candidate

Austin received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Chapman University in Southern California, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Austin’s clinical affiliation experience included a variety of physical therapy settings, working with patients of all ages, where he developed a passion for orthopedics, return-to-sport, and neurologic care. He worked in rural settings in Nebraska, outpatient clinics in Seattle and New York City, and an acute care hospital in St. Louis, then spent a month working in the Dominican Republic through the Creighton PT program. He takes a patient-centered approach to care to help improve their function, return to the activities they love, and pursue healthy lifestyle modifications.

Austin will begin an Orthopedic Residency program through Evidence in Motion, to further develop clinical expertise in orthopedics across the lifespan. He will spend most of his clinical time at the Minnetonka clinic. This program will conclude in Summer 2025.

When outside of the clinic or the classroom, Austin loves all types of outdoor activities including camping and hiking, snowboarding, and recreational sports.  He also has a passion for travel, film, and collecting vinyl records.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Austin is new to the Twin Cities but is a life-long Vikings fan. However, he will happily discuss his Vegas Golden Knights or Las Vegas Aces.
