MPT, Cert.SMT, OCS (Retired)
Barry has more than 27 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, specializing in individualized, education-centered care that focuses on identifying and treating the underlying biomechanical causes of pain and dysfunction—not just symptoms. He works with patients of all ages and activity levels, from everyday injuries to elite athletes, with the goal of restoring function and reducing the risk of future injury.
A former FIS-ranked alpine ski racer, all-state gymnast and diver, marathon runner, and multi-sport coach, Barry brings a deep understanding of movement and performance to his clinical practice. His own experience recovering from multiple ACL reconstructions shaped both his empathy for patients and his passion for helping others return to the activities they love.
Barry earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from St. Catherine University and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Colorado. His professional experience includes treating golfers, runners, triathletes, and professional dancers, as well as serving as a physical therapist for members of the U.S. Women’s Olympic and World Cup Alpine Ski Teams. He is trained in golf performance assessment and co-runs Minnesota’s PGA HOPE program, supporting U.S. military veterans through the game of golf.
Outside of the clinic, Barry enjoys staying active outdoors and spending time with his wife and son.
