Elliott Tan

PT, DPT

Dr. Elliott Tan is a Doctor of Physical Therapy currently completing a post-doctoral orthopedic residency at Motion UT. His clinical interests include orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, chronic pain, and helping athletes of all levels return to the activities that bring them joy. Dr. Tan believes that individualized, patient-centered care leads to the best outcomes and incorporates both the physical and psychosocial aspects of recovery into his treatment approach.

Originally from Washington, Dr. Tan earned his bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University before completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Utah. While at the University of Utah, he developed his orthopedic expertise through advanced clinical training and community involvement, serving as Secretary of the University of Utah Pro Bono Clinics, advocating through the American Physical Therapy Association, and volunteering with adaptive recreation programs, including the U.S. Paraclimbing Team. He has additional certifications including dry needling to provide comprehensive treatment to his patients.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Tan enjoys climbing, trail running with his dog Poppy, whitewater rafting, and exploring Utah’s mountains with friends. He is here to keep you in Motion!
