Erika Sandell-Savor

PT, DPT, SCS

Erika is a physical therapist who holds a strong belief in patient-centered care. She uses her role to help educate each patient on their specific needs and empowers them with the knowledge to improve their health and optimally enjoy their life. She structures her clinical approach with evidence-based treatments, utilizing soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization and an individualized exercise prescription. Erika is committed to each patient as an individual and strives to make their time in therapy engaging and educational.

Erika attended Concordia College, played volleyball, then later transferred to St. Cloud State University where she earned her BS in Biomedical Sciences in 2001. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2005 and became a board-certified sports clinical specialist (SCS) in 2013. With her history of playing volleyball, basketball, and softball, she easily developed a passion for treating overhead athletes and post-operative shoulders. Erika has been involved with many community-facing events for young throwing athletes and has often been a presenter on overhead athletes in the local sports medicine community.

When she is not at work, Erika enjoys high intensity strength training with her husband and son, hanging out with friends, traveling, hiking, pretty much any outdoor activity. Whether it’s rooting for the Gopher Volleyball team or cheering on her favorite, the Minnesota Vikings, she is an avid Minnesota sports fan. Erika recently became an empty nester and is currently adjusting to her new normal of a lot of free time.
