Hugo Klaers

PT, DPT, OCS

Hugo began his career in orthopedic and sports medicine by completing the orthopedic physical therapy residency through MHealth Fairview, leading to him earning his board certification as an orthopedic specialist. He now teaches full time at St. Catherine University in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program – primarily in the areas of human anatomy and orthopedic physical therapy.

Hugo holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at St. Catherine University. He has a passion for teaching, both in his role at St. Kate’s as well as with the Motion residency program. Clinical interests include shoulder, hip, and knee conditions, spine care, manual therapy, and fitness.

Hugo lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two children. You can find him enjoying a walk along Minnehaha Creek or around Lake Nokomis, trying to keep up with his kids, or cooking a new recipe in the kitchen
