PT, DPT, Resident Candidate

Dr. Madeline “Maddy” Ekins is a highly skilled Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in both pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy at Motion. With a passion for enhancing therapeutic exercise techniques, Dr. Ekins is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a credential she pursued to deepen her expertise in exercise prescription and help her patients recover quickly, safely, and effectively, allowing them to return to the activities they love most.

Dr. Ekins earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Utah, followed by an orthopedic residency program with Motion, which solidified her clinical foundation.

Her deep clinical interest in pelvic floor therapy enables her to treat a variety of conditions, including pelvic pain, urinary and fecal incontinence, prolapse, diastasis recti, and postpartum recovery. Dr. Ekins is particularly dedicated to helping individuals overcome pelvic health challenges—whether it’s athletes managing high-impact sports or postpartum women reclaiming strength and function. With a unique blend of her CSCS certification and pelvic floor rehabilitation expertise, Dr. Ekins bridges the gap between rehabilitation and performance, ensuring that her patients not only recover but come back stronger and more resilient than ever.

A proud Utah native, Dr. Ekins has always enjoyed the outdoors and playing soccer. Outside of her practice, she can be found attending concerts, swing and line dancing, or playing recreational sports like soccer, volleyball, and spike ball. An adventurer at heart, she loves taking her dog, Paul, on outdoor excursions. Dr. Ekins is here to help you stay in Motion!
