Mary is passionate about empowering others to live their best life through better movement. A former science teacher, Mary embraces the uniqueness of each individual and movement challenge she has opportunity to work with. Mary is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedics who specializes in treatment of orthopedic, pelvic floor, and complex / chronic pain conditions. With her additional background as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and yoga instructor, she is able to apply a range of movement tools in the clinic. Her advanced learning in pain neuroscience and dry needling compliment her patient-specific exercise and manual therapy techniques.
Mary earned her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Education from the University of Minnesota. After teaching science in Minneapolis and Frankfurt, Germany, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She is currently undergoing a Fellowship of Pain Sciences.
Mary finds joy in travel, hiking or running through the woods in all seasons, teaching and practicing yoga, taking in live music, and a good book.
